Decent job I must say on that pistol grip, miles better than what the big names produce knowing can get away with it, well done credit where its due.
I do have a job to make grip, forend and cheek next month plus an aluminium stock from solid again, not looking forward to it.
If a jobs worth doing, do it right or not at all.

Thank you,now I know who you are that means a lot.
The grip that came with rifle was nothing special. I'm glad now that I had no choice but to make my own the other parts where all most just a straight copy.I was thinking of making a bigger/deeper forend and cheek piece but after checking the weight of my pistol grip and the original it would of just been form over function.

Your making an aluminium stock from solid that sounds like many hours of work and you'll still have to make the grip set.I can see why your not looking forward to it . I'd like to see that when you're finished please post up some pictures.

Think ive done 5 fairly recently and one at work for a .338 Lapua mag 15 years ago now cut up.
Might be 4 Anchutz to replace the One stocks and me JH P800X.

Lg 400 has had the cardon sleeve shortened by 120mm and the reg tester I made now works without any air leaks apart from when I hit with a soft faced hammer.

I've made the reg tester & the valve I made for it works.well on the 3rd attempt it did.

I've had enough of the over sized carbon barrel sleeve so it now had 120mm removed and looks so much better for it.

True they don't look right left long on any 10M rifle.
Done another Anchutz this morning the same parting through carbon then a stainless steel G304 or higher sleeve underneath does me carbide tips in.

I am on the lookout for decent gauges unless pay through the nose those glycerine filled are available but not accurate. I can only treat it as a comparison, best of knowledge reads 6 bar high at 100bar tilted so air at top of pointer. Reads higher still if top of pointer surrounded with glycerine.
Even the Wika are not guaranteed within 10% I used to nick off acetylene, CO2 bottles etc.

I used a 4" angle grinder to cut just over size and face up with an old carbide tip then touch it up with wet and dry paper as carbon sure does knock the edge of you tip.The sleeve was ether very low on carbon heavy on the epoxy or it's glass fiber as the dust was white and not charcoal grey like I've cut before.

I've also made a stripper insert out of acetel to try and see if it will help cutting down on noise and help remove some air from around the pellet.I may have wasted my time making it but I'll test it and see.
