In the journey of Mrs D wishing to "pimp" her "Model 800 X Field Target 16.3 Joule" .. I was looking through the Accessory catalogue available online
Can I assume that all the "major stock parts" ie air cylinder, grip, cheek rest etc are all interchangeable.. so if she wants to go "blue" .. we can simply find a dealer doing all the spare parts ?
And is so .. is there a dealer folk would recommend ? for supplying in or shipping to the UK ?
Thanks for the help
best G

RE: BLUE Factory Parts
1. Cylinder - https://holme-onlineshop.de/feinwerkbau ... wehre.html
2. Grip & Cheekrest (never seen in real life) but are listed on Accessories (per attachment); perhaps discontinued ?
3. Fwb800 "Individual" - Feasible to have all alu parts re-anodised by Factory - but be prepared to be quoted a mint
4. Fwb Hamster - never seen in blue (would need cutstom 'Individual' anodise) - but dont forget to send this off...
Ref: Major Dealer to contact > Bogdan KIMLA via email - with reference numbers - who will contact Feinwerkbau directly and get you the quotes; do not contact Feinwerkbau directly as they'll tell you to contact UK Agent...who will take months to get the parts (and dearer with their mark up) - but its your choice..

NB: if your wife wants Official Factory blue - see here the dismantled parts to send > https://www.pimpmyairgun.com/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=1246
NB: If you get a UK anodiser, likely the rear part of the stock blue anodise will NOT match the rest of the gun; its a different grade of alu. - so It really really needs careful consideration if the UK anodiser can guarantee to match the same consistent blue through out..Big downside to consider using UK anodiser is their inability to print white lettering of 'Feinwerkbau' on relevant parts or model number..

Alternatively take the 6 parts in to a good anodisers, cheaper than importing.
If a jobs worth doing, do it right or not at all.

Then loose the decals.
Powder coating big no, there aint enough clearance as is causing problems and too soft like most other paints.
Cerakote maybe but is expensive.

I looked at a lot of examples of Cerakote in non camouflage and in general looks like a car paint job from your mates in the 80's .. ie orange peel and not good .. happy for folk to point me to good "uniform" colour work examples

The original Fwb800 was UK anodised and of course 'Pimped' by the Guru for a UK client...who sold it onward to a Spaniard...who added the Gary Cane laminate bits & other to compliment the overall look...
As you see - the white Fwb & Feinwerkbau lettering has disappeared - if its a non issue for your wife - then this may be your best bet to get a quicker & cheaper turn around for your wife's rifle...
NOTE: I repeat the rear S alu part that moves laterally is a different grade of alu - so will or most probably prove problematic to UK anodiser to match a consistent same BLUE throughout.
If that is the case- my suggestion is to hard anodised completely the rear S parts in BLACK...
Blue & Black would equally look stunning - the choice is your wife's to make; hope that helps
NB: Mid section of alu stock - to stay black - in Fwb factory - this part always stays black irrespective what anodised colour is rest of the rifle ....but of course, the paint could be stripped back, do some fine polishing to polish the alu, and of course It then could be anodised in blue , but again, I suspect another grade of alu.
Lots to consider, trial & error..but possible to get it all right first time round..
FWIW: Your wife could order a New 2nd Factory blue anodised FT to spec and you borrow her first black one

great ideas TY .. I like the idea of getting the back S piece done in black as a contrast and then not to worry about the colour match
Please dont suggest a second one as she would do it in a heart beat ... and keep both

No worries...
Notice the rear of the Fwb800X is using the fixed/rigid rear of the Fwb P700 (when referring to inter-changeability of parts)
