Just came across this

Mmm...I know mine dont pose a problem as they are all wall hangers - but obviously "wear & tear" for those of you going through loads of tins...

Known about it almost 5 years and why all mine were modded to the untrained eye.

Looks a right pig way of modding it rather than cure the problem, knowledge is golden.

Phew ! :P

Ok, will then have to check the 2 X Fwb800 OEM I bought a while back and possibly send those block actions to "bullet proof" them by you Jon...

NB: I wonder if Fwb have had reports from 10m shooters about this & rectified ? can't imagine a National or International comp. shooter having their Fwb800 fail :!: during critical shot :?: :?:

The problem with this 800 it was a second hand in 7,5 joules, and the friend who shoot with, put a maximum strong on the hammer spring.

I recovered this rifle about 6 months but the hammer stop was already very damaged

Wont make a scrap of difference if worn or not, in fact better that it has worn with no restrictions.
By putting that cap head in - hammer's hitting cocking link in turn knocking on cap head.

I usually do a double mod, certainly the HFT ones - done of yours Admin, possible first one is as well but may show signs of a flat on the lug.
