...I would NOT drill holes into any woodstock or laminate...but rather add a top part for the UIT rail fixation.. obviously this is just a cheap and non creme de la creme Rowan gizmo.

People have been using them for about 3 years but still suffer the rowan attribute in not being able to close up and adding a minimum drop of 2 1/4" (57mm) closed up. Just the job when only want 9mm drop.
