Hi,

Does anyone have pictures of the absorber of the Feinwerkbau P800 or P700 stripped down ?

Can air escape from the back of this mechanism when the shot is released ?

Thanks.

Just done a brand new action Friday for myself and the front probe is quite tight on mine almost zero tolerance. All the others pretty good.

When the stabilisor pin breaks out with both the new longer 3mm pins and the early shorter pins you will be greeted with an uncomfortable blast of air in your eye. The circlip in the end of bolt will stop stabilisor shooting out and front of probe shoot back clear of its fitting allowing the blast to smack you one.
This happens with the old and new/current pins. Old may last 200 shots, new approx. 1000 or more, keep your eye on it every shot unless you mod the bolt.

That's where the aluminium bellows out and elongates the 3mm hole with the first release using shorter 3mm pins and the last 20 months with the newer longer pins as piccied.

When the aluminium bellows out at back end theres not a lot that can be done rendering the silver part of the action scrap.

Hi,

The pin pointed in the picture left its position yesterday, felt on the floor when i cocked the rifle, i was trying to adjust the absorber and felt that the piston was strikng the pin and no air war leaving the barrel, the cilinder war with 200 bar.

How can i put the pin back to its place ? As the pin came out, the aluminun hole can be destroyed by now ? Happened to anyone ?

Thank you.

Michael, roughly how many shots before this happened?

Have seen it with the first release P800 with shorter 3mm pins and also current issue with the longer 3mm pins.

If the pins dropped out or worked loose its a high probability that any pin will not stay put.

I mod the bolt and make a specialist pin before getting the rifle up and running, just done a foreign members on here today.

About 40 shots, the cilinder was with 200 bar and no air was leaving the barrel, the absorber piston was striking the pin and then it dropped.

Thank you.

I tried my 7.5J at 10mt and after less then 100 shots I noticed a small niple in the action block.

It's difficult to understand how and engineer design that system that stop the piston in one point sooner or later the opposite end of the piston will start to mark the top of the action and making the absorber inconsistent.

The absorber should stop before hitting the 3mm pin, if correctly adjusted???

We had an incident in Sweden recently where a Feinwerkbau 700 absober hit a girl in the face :o
