Is it me , or does any one else think that the main stream air rifle manufacturers , have been less than imaginative with new air rifles this year , I mean run of the mill , not the exotica that some of us shoot.
I found most boring at best , copy's of something that's gone before, and no new groundbreaking stuff.
Ben.

Daystate - Pulsar
Air Arms - Galahad
Mmmm...sound like TIMEX watch names...or Sinclair recumbent electric pedal pusher springs to mind...or if you recall the Toyota "Starion"
but then Brocock comes out with Compatto...
That's how dire even the UK marketing depts. are

I think it is just a symptom of oversupply to a limited market.
The Daystate Tsar / Ataman M2 is not without interest, I know the M2 has been around for a little while but it has always been a pretty rare beast, even in Russia. The emerging developments from Anschutz / RUAG / Jon Harris will be fascinating to watch.
Other than that.. yup, pretty humdrum year really, but then, where are there any gaps in the market?
Latest news is the Impact Airguns are ceasing rifle production, no great surprise, expensive rifles that perform well and are backed up with appallingly surly / patchy customer service.
It will be interesting to see if 2017 brings anything new, or just revamps of existing designs.
